Beta Tau Chapter at Kent State University

Alpha Xi Delta Fraternity is proudly partnered with Autism Speaks. Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. The Beta Tau chapter of Kent State University focuses on raising money for Autism Speaks while also increasing Autism understanding and acceptance.

Every fall, Beta Tau hosts our annual AmaXing Challenge called Xi Man. Our sisters team up to coach fraternities and sororities to help them make up skits and dances incorporating facts about Autism Speaks and Alpha Xi Delta while also assisting in their fundraising efforts. This past year, our chapter raised over $64,000 for Autism Speaks, making us the top fundraising chapter in the country.

To increase Autism understanding and acceptance, we participate in Light It Up Blue as a part of World Autism Month in April. We host a contest for all the sororities and fraternities to increase understanding and acceptance by decking out their houses in blue decorations. Each spring, we host Xiti with the Xi’s. This is an all you can eat pasta dinner with all proceeds going to Autism Speaks to increase understanding and acceptance throughout the month of April!

Autism Speaks Tagline: “Autism Speaks enhances lives today and is accelerating a spectrum of solutions for tomorrow.”
